Should I Buy a Wall Oven and Cooktop or a Traditional Stove?

     When shopping for a stove and oven, there are advantages and disadvantages to buying a traditional slide-in stove/oven combination versus a wall oven and separate cooktop.

     A regular stove will be less expensive and will take up less square footage.

     A wall oven and separate cooktop will be more expensive since you are shopping for two items.  You will have more placement flexibility with the wall oven.  Bakers especially love the wall oven since they can check on their goodies at eye level.  A wall oven also eliminates the need of bending and lifting heavy prepared food from a difficult angle.  A cast iron casserole dish comes to mind.
