I saw a picture of  a ship lap headboard that looked fairly easy to make.  As I did some research, there are many sites on the internet with directions on making any type of headboard you can imagine. What are you trying to accomplish by adding an area rug to an entry way or room?  What is your inspiration?  Is your inspiration the shape of the room, the wall color, the furniture, a material pattern, etc. Remember the rug should unify the objects in the room.

It is customary to leave an 18" border from rug to wall when buying an area rug for a large room and an 8" border if you are furnishing a smaller room.

Schlage has been in the hardware business for over 95 years.  They recently adopted the new Builder's Hardware Manufacturers Association (BHMS) standards.  It will be easier now for the buyer to identify hardware brands that receive the highest grades in three categories:  security, durability, and finish.  The new system employs the letter scores of A, B, and C.  With an AAA over all three categories being of  the best quality.

There was an article in the June, 2017 online Architectural Digest explaining why designers are using round accents more often.  The circle in its perfect simplicity is soothing, satisfying, and pleasing to the eye.  Sharp edges and irregular shapes make a bold statement but may not make for a comfortable space.
