Where the dogs enter the home, use a dresser or chest to store dog supplies. Purchase a deep colored, washable pet bed that hides stains until washed. If you allow the pet on your bed, throw a washable throw such as a sheet over your bedding. Use fun pieces of china for dog dishes. Avoid linen furniture fabrics if you have pets. Purchase stain repellant fabrics, leather, outdoor fabrics, or floral cottons. Leather is the best choice since it can be wiped down, pet hairs don't stick to it, and it is snag proof. You do still have the issue of it being punctured though. Cats are known to avoid leather, so that should keep them off those particular pieces of furniture. Animal hide carpets placed over your main carpet is inviting to pets and saves the soiling and wear on your main carpet. Tile floors are easier to maintain for pet owners and may be the best choice. #dreamlandinteriors #pets #dogs #cats #entryway #furniturefabrics #dogbed
