![]() Stainless steel appliances are sleek and attractive and are now very popular with homeowners. The biggest mistake people make when cleaning their stainless steel appliances is spraying it down with a multi-purpose cleaner. Other harmful activities would be using caustic cleansers or abrasive tools. The simplest cleaner is using soap and water or vinegar. Always apply the cleaner to the soft cloth (a microfiber cloth is ideal), not directly onto the appliance or surface. A homemade stainless steel cleaner consists of: 1 cup baking soda, 1/4 cup lemon juice, 3 tablespoons borax, enough club soda to make a paste. Use a new soft cloth to polish. Be sure you clean and polish the surface by wiping with the grain of the stainless steel which takes a closer look to determine. Tough, backed on messes may require a mixture of baking soda and olive oil on a soft cloth. Once again, gently wipe with the grain of the stainless steel. Finish the job by polishing the surface with stainless steel polish or mineral oil. Remove streaks with rubbing alcohol. #dreamlandinteriors #appliances #stainlesssteel #cleaningappliances
