Choosing the Right Coffee Table

Of course, the size of your room, the shape and size of your furniture, the accessories, the woodwork, the light fixtures, etc. will all play a part in your selection of your coffee table.  Pieces come in a wide range of prices.  The table decorated above is from All Modern Furniture.  Here are some pictured below that I like.

When you accessorize the coffee table, there are some tips to keep in mind.  To keep it simple, add a tray, a vase with an arrangement (keep it low), and a decorative item.  Each item should vary in height and size. Balance is what you are trying to achieve.  Keep the items interesting, meaningful, and pieces taken from nature.  Common items used to decorate a coffee table are seasonal items like a holiday figurine, books and magazines, a glass bottle, a candle that adds height and scent.  If you want your coffee table tray to be more practical, add a decorate dish to hold the tv remote or your glasses or a pen.

I like coffee tables that can serve as an ottoman as well or one that has storage.
