House Beautiful featured an article showcasing ways to attractively display a flat screen tv in various rooms of your house.  One designer, Mark Egerstrom, displayed the tv behind a piece of art.  Another designer placed the tv on a decorative easel.  If you want to really conceal one, mount it on the wall behind a pull down wall map.  Another convenient location could be under a desk.  Many people have tvs in their kitchen. You might want to consider installing one above the refrigerator.  In the bath, a framed alcove could be built to hide the tv away so that it is placed in view from the tub.  My favorite  idea displayed a tv behind mirrored doors as shown by designer, Nina Farmer.

​I liked this TV stand by All Modern which has shelves for storage.

I saw a picture of  a ship lap headboard that looked fairly easy to make.  As I did some research, there are many sites on the internet with directions on making any type of headboard you can imagine. Check on this pinterest site.  I also found the websites diyjoy.com and http://www.diyncrafts.com showing different headboard styles.
